President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing applications, the continued development of Egypt’s telecommunications market, the wider deployment of 5G services, and the strengthening of telecommunications infrastructure resilience.
The measures form part of broader efforts to improve public services, accelerate digital transformation, and reinforce Egypt’s position as a regional and global hub for data centres.
Hefny congratulates EgyptAir on global achievement
The Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh el-Hefny, has congratulated the leadership and employees of EgyptAir following the national carrier’s recognition as “The World’s Most Improved Airline” for 2026 by Skytrax, marking a significant achievement in the airline’s continued development.
EgyptAir also climbed to 46th position in Skytrax’s global airline rankings, securing its place among the world’s top 50 carriers.

Egypt has witnessed an unprecedented expansion in major national agricultural and development projects in recent years, Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Alaa Farouk said.
Speaking at the annual Rotary District 2451 conference in Alexandria on Saturday, Farouk said the government’s agricultural strategy focuses on both horizontal expansion through land reclamation and the addition of new farmland, as well as vertical expansion to boost yields through modern technologies and more efficient use of land and water resources.
