British Prime Minister Andy Burnham told European Council President Antonio Costa that London should be bolder in pursuing closer ties ​with the European Union, with a UK-EU summit this year ‌providing such opportunity, his office said on Monday.

LUSAKA – Zambian authorities closed the country’s top courts on ​Monday, blocking access to the premises on the last day that ‌the opposition could file a challenge to this month’s disputed election.

MOSCOW (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin on Monday handed the Russian state the authority to take control of critically-important ​infrastructure facilities if they are deemed to be ‌poorly protected from Ukrainian drone attacks and other threats.

PM reviews progress of “Decent Life” initiative as phase two preparations advance

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting on Monday in New Alamein to follow up on the implementation of the presidential initiative Decent Life for rural development. The session focused on completing outstanding works in Phase One and coordinating readiness for phase two.

Boosting economic cooperation with India

As part of Egypt’s efforts to strengthen economic ties, Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, met Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India in Cairo, to discuss ways of enhancing investment cooperation between the two countries.
