At a time when the world faces persistent political challenges and economic turbulence, Egypt has once again reaffirmed its unique image as an oasis of peace and stability.

The Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, attended by leaders and heads of state from more than 30 countries and international organizations, sent a clear message to the world: peace and prosperity can thrive even amid global uncertainty.

The summit generated a strong economic ripple across South Sinai, with hotels, restaurants, and local businesses reporting record levels of activity. Flights to the city were fully booked, while local markets witnessed a surge in demand for services and souvenirs.

The event also showcased Egypt’s civilizational heritage and touristic appeal, turning Sharm el-Sheikh once again into the world’s focal point not only as a “City of Global Conferences,” but also as the Capital of Peace and International Tourism.

International media praised the summit as a powerful form of indirect tourism promotion for Egypt. Major global networks, including CNN, BBC, and Germany’s DW, broadcast extensive reports from Sharm el-Sheikh throughout the event, reaching millions of viewers worldwide.

According to leading travel platforms, online searches for Sharm el-Sheikh increased by more than 60% immediately after the summit. Television coverage showcased the Red Sea resort in its finest light—golden beaches, luxurious hotels, and an atmosphere of safety and order.

Scenes of world leaders touring the city underscored a clear message: Egypt is stable, secure, and open to the world. Tourism experts agreed that this renewed global confidence will have a lasting positive impact on Egypt’s tourism industry, restoring trust among travelers and international tour operators alike.

Beyond the summit’s economic boost, Sharm el-Sheikh continues to transform into a green, smart, and environmentally friendly city. A range of initiatives has been implemented, including a bicycle-sharing service with magnetic cards for delegates and residents, the introduction of electric buses and vehicles running on natural gas, and the use of solar energy in hotel operations initiatives that began during the COP27 summit.

The city also continues to attract tourists from around the globe. The popular El Salam Promenade remains a vibrant hub supporting tourism activities in the Red Sea resort.

Recently, Sharm el-Sheikh was selected among the 20 most magnificent tourist destinations worldwide for November 2025, in recognition of its unique natural treasures and diverse tourism offerings. November, one of the best months for diving in the Red Sea, highlights the city’s world-renowned dive sites and coral-rich underwater landscapes.

Sharm el-Sheikh remains a distinctive destination, celebrated for its coral reefs, scuba diving, surfing, desert safaris, mountain hiking, fishing, and the famous Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve a living testament to Egypt’s unparalleled blend of nature, adventure, and peace.
