EgyptAir won the Arab Charitable Award from the Arab Council for Social Responsibility in appreciation of the company’s distinguished role in the field of sustainable development and being the official carrier of most charitable works and contributions as well as the company’s tireless efforts in supporting the national economy and its effective role in implementing social responsibility programmes in various fields that aim to serve the community and achieve its goals.
EgyptAir chairman Amr Abu Al-Ainin expressed his happiness for EgyptAir winning this award, stressing that the company has made many efforts since its establishment on May 7, 1932 to achieve the goals of sustainable development, serve the goals of society, and sponsor initiatives, especially charitable causes that contribute to serving the people of this country.
Randa Rizk, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, said that the award comes in light of the council’s continuous work to support sustainable development goals and to maximise humanitarian and volunteer work, especially in the era of community leadership.
She emphasised that Egyptian and Arab efforts support humanitarian and voluntary work to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals that would support development goals in the Arab world.
The Arab Charitable Award aims to monitor the best charitable works directed in the Arab world, whether at the individual or institutional level. The jury, which is made up of a large number of experts and specialists, selects the winners, whether from institutions or individuals influential in the field of charitable work in the Arab world.
