TikTok has unveiled its Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, providing insight into how the platform enforces its policies and works to maintain a safe, trusted digital environment. Between January and March 2026, TikTok removed 15,519,240 videos across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Iraq, Morocco, Lebanon, and Sudan for violating its guidelines, reflecting the scale of enforcement and safety efforts across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
As part of broader efforts to promote age-appropriate and authentic experiences, TikTok removed 86,288,705 fake accounts and 25,764,372 accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13 globally during the first quarter. These actions highlight the platform’s focus on eliminating accounts that fail to meet its requirements while strengthening safeguards for younger users. Through a combination of automated detection, account-level enforcement, and human review, TikTok continues to reinforce systems designed to support a safer user experience.
The platform also maintained robust enforcement measures across TikTok LIVE, where real-time content demands swift intervention. Globally, 50,791,858 LIVE sessions were suspended in Q1 2026—an increase of approximately 18.6% from the 42,822,827 suspensions recorded in Q4 2025. A further 58,207,389 LIVE sessions were subjected to demonetisation or warnings, while 21,966,667 LIVE creators faced demonetisation or warnings. Across the eight covered MENA markets, TikTok proactively interrupted 3,077,164 livestreams and banned 530,510 LIVE hosts.
Egypt
In Egypt, TikTok removed 3,612,773 videos during Q1 2026. The country recorded a proactive removal rate of 99.6%, with nearly all violative content identified and removed before being reported by users. Additionally, 93.6% of violative videos were taken down within 24 hours. TikTok restored 146,417 videos following successful appeals. On the LIVE feature, 151,630 hosts were banned and 769,200 livestreams were interrupted.
Saudi Arabia
In Saudi Arabia, 2,811,302 videos were removed during the quarter. The platform recorded a proactive removal rate of 98.2%, while 92.8% of violative content was removed within 24 hours of being reported. Following successful appeals, 150,916 videos were restored. Furthermore, TikTok banned 48,106 LIVE hosts and interrupted 371,758 livestreams in the Kingdom.
United Arab Emirates
In the United Arab Emirates, TikTok removed 752,214 videos for guidelines violations. The platform achieved a proactive removal rate of 98%, with 88.9% of violative videos removed within 24 hours of being reported. A total of 40,661 videos were restored following successful appeals. TikTok also banned 40,216 LIVE hosts and interrupted 285,761 livestreams.
Morocco
In Morocco, TikTok removed 530,652 videos during Q1. The country recorded a 99.0% proactive removal rate prior to user reporting, with 94.4% of violative videos removed within 24 hours of being reported. TikTok restored 26,835 videos following successful appeals, while banning 55,664 LIVE hosts and interrupting 254,351 livestreams.
Iraq
In Iraq, 5,253,566 violative videos were removed during the quarter. The country recorded a proactive removal rate of 99.4% prior to user reports, with 95% of violative content removed within 24 hours of being reported. TikTok restored 157,124 videos following successful appeals—the highest number of restored videos among the covered markets. Additionally, 186,997 LIVE hosts were banned and 1,149,253 livestreams were interrupted.
Lebanon
In Lebanon, TikTok removed 926,006 videos in Q1 2026. The platform achieved a proactive removal rate of 99.7% prior to user reports—one of the highest rates among the covered MENA markets—while 95.6% of violative videos were removed within 24 hours of being reported. TikTok restored 19,339 videos following appeals, banned 15,456 LIVE hosts, and interrupted 94,899 livestreams.
Oman
In Oman, TikTok removed 249,895 videos during the quarter. The country recorded a proactive removal rate of 99% prior to user reports, with 95.5% of violative videos taken down within 24 hours of being reported. TikTok restored 7,416 videos following appeals. Furthermore, 7,885 LIVE hosts were banned and 56,878 livestreams were interrupted.
Sudan
In Sudan, TikTok removed 1,382,832 videos during Q1 2026. The country recorded the highest proactive removal rate among the covered markets at 99.9% prior to user reports, with 98% of violative videos removed within 24 hours of being reported. TikTok restored 25,045 videos following successful appeals. On the LIVE front, 24,566 hosts were banned and 95,064 livestreams were interrupted.
