Under the auspices of the Arab Organisation for Dialogue and International Co-operation, the 46th
session of the Cultural Salon of Professor Hanan Youssef was held online through the (Zoom) application under the title: “The Messenger of Peace… A Message to Humanity.”
Prof. Hanan Youssef, Professor of International Media and Dean of the College of Language and communication in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Smart Village, explained that the salon’s management is always keen to keep up with various occasions and events.
She added that, the occasion of El-Maulid el-Nabawi (The Islam’s Prophet Birthday) coincided with the International Day of Peace during this month, and the salon management saw that the message of the Prophet (PBUH) carries many messages of peace for humanity.
The salon witnessed a large participation from a selected group of intellectuals from Egypt and the Arab world, where the participants recounted how other countries celebrates this occasion, stressing the importance of adequately celebrating it and not paying attention to calls that say that celebrating it is a matter of heresy, especially when people celebrated a number of Western occasions that are different from to our culture.
The participants in the salon explained that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), brought his message to bring peace to humanity as a whole, and to establish a clear platform for communication and tolerance among people, which coincides with the international celebration of the International Day of Peace on September 21, every year.
