This initiative reflects TikTok’s mission to extend its community-focused engagement beyond the digital space, fostering real-world connections and moments of gratitude. By honoring delivery drivers during the holy month of Ramadan, TikTok and Talabat Egypt aim to express appreciation for the individuals who work diligently to ensure seamless service for customers across the country.

Commenting on the event, Amir Ghlein, Head of Public Policy for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia at TikTok, stated:
“This initiative with Talabat Egypt embodies our core values at TikTok, where we strive to strengthen human connections and recognize those who contribute to our communities. Delivery drivers are an essential part of our daily lives, and it is our responsibility to show appreciation for their dedication. We look forward to more initiatives that bring people together and create meaningful experiences beyond the digital world.”

Echoing this sentiment, Hadeer Shalaby, Managing Director of Talabat Egypt, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the company’s delivery drivers:
“At Talabat Egypt, we believe in fostering strong human connections among our teams and cultivating a culture of belonging and gratitude. Our delivery drivers are the backbone of our operations, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction. Partnering with TikTok for this initiative is a testament to our commitment to honoring their hard work and dedication.”

This collaboration between TikTok and Talabat Egypt highlights the significance of community-driven initiatives that celebrate and support those who contribute to everyday life. By recognizing the efforts of delivery drivers, both companies reinforce the values of appreciation, generosity, and human connection—especially during the spiritual and reflective month of Ramadan.

As TikTok continues to expand its influence beyond the digital sphere, initiatives like this iftar event set the stage for future collaborations aimed at uplifting and celebrating individuals who make a difference in their communities.
