Youth and Sports Minister Gohar Nabil visited Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, where he was received by founder and chairwoman Heba El Sewedy. The visit aimed to strengthen co-operation with civil society institutions delivering humanitarian healthcare services, particularly for young people.
Nabil toured specialised medical departments, reviewed advanced facilities and heard presentations on treatment and rehabilitation services provided free of charge. He praised the hospital as “an exceptional medical and humanitarian institution” and pledged full ministry support, noting its pioneering role as the first of its kind in Africa and the Arab world.
El Sewedy welcomed the visit, describing it as vital backing for the hospital’s mission to transform burn care through integrated medical, psychological and social reintegration services.
The hospital has performed over 1,538 skin graft operations and 13,116 laser sessions for scar treatment, underscoring its leadership in advanced burn care.
