WASHINGTON – The total number of Covid-19 cases has surged past 516 million amid a rise in new infections in parts of the globe.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the total case count mounted to 516,180,915 while the death toll from the virus reached 6,247,586 on Friday.
The United States has recorded 81,692,541 cases so far, the data showed.
While India’s Covid-19 tally surpassed 43,000,000 on Friday.
