CAIRO – Ten new hospitals and Fayrouz medical complex are set to be opened and operated on June 30, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) Ahmed el Sobky said.
El Sobky’s remarks came at a meeting with a number of EHA aides at the authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to follow up efforts on improving healthcare services in the coming period.
The operation of the new hospitals is part of the first phase of the universal health insurance system in the governorates of Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan and Suez, he added.
He noted that the second version of digitizing EHA hospitals, units and centers will be launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
He added that a digital health care alliance will be launched during the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
