Dr Hanan Youssef, Professor of Media and Dean of the Faculty of Language and Media at the Maritime Academy, has been recognized with the prestigious Academic Excellence Award for the year 2024. The award was bestowed by the Arab Excellence and Creativity Forum, led by Dr Dalia Al-Matbouli.
Youssef’s dedication to academic excellence has been instrumental in her career. Her innovative teaching methods, which seamlessly integrate theory and practice, have earned her widespread acclaim. She has consistently been voted “Best Professor” by her students, a testament to her effectiveness as an educator.
In addition to her teaching contributions, Youssef has made significant strides in academic administration. She has played a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing numerous academic media institutions both in Egypt and the Arab region. Her latest accomplishment is the successful launch of the Faculty of Language and Media at the Smart Village Branch of the Maritime Academy, a model institution in its field.
Upon receiving the award, Youssef expressed her gratitude and highlighted her three-decade-long commitment to bridging the gap between academic and media spheres. She emphasised her belief in a continuous connection between the two fields, drawing on her extensive experience in both.
