The Society for Human Resources Management in the US (SHRM) selected Abdul Rahman Al-Shuail, Director General of Human Resources at the Institute of Public Administration in Saudi Arabia, for the Professional Accreditation Committee, concerned with technical supervision and advisory support for the professional certification programmes of the association.
Al-Shuail expressed his pride in being chosen as a member of a committee that includes experts and specialists in the field of human resource management from the US and various countries of the world.
He said that this selection confirms global appreciation for the tangible development in the activities and work of human resources in Arab countries in general and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, indicating that his choice of this site is an Arab achievement.
It is the first time that an Arab citizen has obtained membership in a committee in the Society for Human Resources Management in the United States of America (SHRM), as the mechanism for selecting members is subject to precise criteria, especially since the scope of the committee’s work includes the services of the association worldwide and not on a specific geographical scale.
The Society for Human Resources Management in the United States of America is one of the largest pioneering organisations in the field of human resources in the world and is active in more than 165 countries, including Egypt, where the association was founded in 1948.
Its headquarters are located in the city of Alexandria in the state of Virginia, and it includes more than 300,000 members, the association offers many professional and training programmes, advisory services, research and studies in the field of human resources, in addition to international events and conferences on human resources.
