Egypt’s cabinet has approved an international exhibition featuring 275 artifacts from Egypt’s submerged ancient cities at Chicago’s Field Museum, it said.
The exhibition, titled “Sunken Cities of Egypt – Isis,” will run from Feb. 20 to Sept. 19, 2027, excluding periods needed for packing, transport and shipping, the cabinet said in a statement.
The event is part of Egypt’s efforts to promote its ancient civilisation and expand the presence of Egyptian antiquities at major international exhibitions, it added.
