Egypt’s Acting Minister of Culture, Abdel Aziz Konsowa, said on Friday that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s continued patronage of the International Awladna Forum for Arts of the Gifted reflects the state’s commitment at the highest political level to protecting the rights of people with disabilities and empowering them to develop and showcase their talents.
Konsowa made the remarks during the opening of the 10th edition of the forum at the Cairo Opera House, attended by Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber.
He said presidential patronage over the past decade had given the forum international stature and strengthened Egypt’s position as a hub for human creativity and cultural inclusion.
Minister Konsowa added that the forum had transformed art into a platform for showcasing the cultural and creative talents of children with disabilities.
He also highlighted the forum’s international participation, saying it had strengthened cultural and human connections and reflected cooperation between state institutions and civil society in supporting people with disabilities.
The forum is one of the region’s prominent cultural and social initiatives supporting people with disabilities through fine arts, performing arts, music and cinema, while promoting inclusion, tolerance and opportunities for empowerment.
