Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy discussed with Azerbaijani Ambassador in Cairo Elkhan Polukhov ways of strengthening bilateral co-operation in a number of areas, particularly exhibitions and marketing, as well as supporting traditional and handicraft products.
The meeting addressed opportunities for co-operation in organising exhibitions and events that promote Egyptian and Azerbaijani products and open new marketing avenues for artisans, productive families and small-business owners. Such efforts would support economic empowerment and enhance cultural and trade exchanges between the two countries.
The two sides agreed that Azerbaijan would participate as the Guest of Honour at the Diyarna Handicrafts and Heritage Exhibition, which the Ministry of Social Solidarity is scheduled to organise next November.
The event will provide an opportunity to strengthen cultural and marketing exchanges and showcase Azerbaijan’s distinctive handicrafts and heritage products alongside the Egyptian products featured at the exhibition, MENA reported.
The two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in ways that would open new avenues for collaboration and promote the marketing of high-quality Egyptian handicraft products in Azerbaijan.
