The Nour Wal Amal Orchestra for Egyptian girls with disabilities, led by Maestro Tamer Fahmy, captivated audiences at the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome with a dazzling performance of renowned international musical pieces.
The concert, attended by a distinguished gathering of Italian artistic and cultural figures, also featured a special appearance by the acclaimed Greek soprano, Anastasia.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, along with his family and embassy staff, attended the event and expressed his admiration for the orchestra’s remarkable talent and dedication. He singled out the youngest member, 10-year-old violinist Sondos, for her exceptional performance.

Ambassador Radi emphasized that the Nour Wal Amal Orchestra serves as an inspiring symbol of Egypt, embodying messages of hope, unwavering will, and the empowerment of women in Egyptian society. He highlighted the unwavering support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the arts and creative individuals, particularly those with disabilities.

The concert, organized by the Egyptian Academy in Rome under the direction of Rania Yahya, celebrated the 95th anniversary of the Academy’s founding. It also featured an exhibition of artworks by Egyptian artist Ahmed El-Badawy and performances by Italian artists with disabilities from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory.

The Nour Wal Amal Orchestra’s participation in this prestigious event was made possible through the generous support of a prominent Egyptian businessman and the EgyptAir office in Rome, led by Regional Manager Salah Tawfik.
