CAIRO – Pope Tawadros II on Saturday inaugurated a renovated church inside the St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo’s Abbassia District.
Firstly opened in 1971, the inauguration marks the Golden Jubilee of the church, which is named after the Blessed Virgin Mary and Anba Bishoy.
During the ceremony, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St Mark led an inaugural mass, before opening three alters, a new icon and an icon bearer
