Alaa Khallaf el-Shazly, Assistant Lecturer of Tourism Studies in Faculty of Tourism and Hotels in Minia University was granted the PhD Degree in Tourism Studies last July.
Elshazly PhD Thesis titled ” Towards Digital Transformation: An Empirical Study on EgyptAir”.
Her thesis is aiming to analyze the current situation of EgyptAir and the Egyptian airports toward the digital transformation in air travel operational processes pre, in, and post stages of flight.
Furthermore, the study aimed to discover the relation between EgyptAir flight service digital transformation practices and its passenger experience value.
The committee of supervision of her thesis included Hussein Abdelwahab Abdelrady, Associate Professor of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels in Minia University) and Alaa Ahmed Ashour, Captin Pilot, Ex. Chairman & CEO of EgyptAir Airline, Ex. Chairman & CEO of EgyptAir Cargo and the Ex. President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
