The minister made the remarks while inspecting the underway construction work at the new stadium, which is implemented in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Port Said Governor Adel El Ghadban accompanied the minister in his tour of youth and sports facilities in Porta Said governorate.
The minister thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for giving instructions for the construction of the stadium upon demands by residents of Port Said governorate, as part of a set of mega projects carried out in various domains across the governorate.
The area of the new stadium of Al Masry SC is planned to reach 50,000 square meters, while the buildings and facilities will be erected on area of 28,000 square meters.
The new stadium has been designed in line with the latest standards of FIFA as well as the CAF, including using the hybrid grass for the surface of the playground which is composed of natural grass combined with artificial fibers.
The new stadium will include 30 gates controlled by the central electronic control room to ease the entry and exit of spectators, with over 300 cameras to be installed to cover the stands and the sports facilities.
Al Masry is an Egyptian football club based in Port Said. The club plays within the Egyptian Premier League.
