The World Youth Forum (WYF), an international NGO based in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and aims to foster peace and harmony among peoples, has launched a new initiative for global peace.
Called ‘Youth for Reviving Humanity’, the new initiative underscores the role youth can play in reviving what the forum calls ‘humane values’.
It is an inclusive dynamism that unites international and youth efforts, keeping race, gender and faith at bay. The initiative aims to enhance security, promote peace and ensure the protection of civilians in conflict zones, the WYF said.
It added that the new initiative also aims to integrate humanitarian, political and socioeconomic efforts.
The initiative will last for three days and include open dialogue sessions, events and media engagements, the WYF said.
It will encourage active participation from global activists and influencers, it added. The forum noted that the initiative is part of its commitment to the provision of support and bring peace to all corners of the globe.
It signifies the forum’s belief that this is about time peace prevailed and war came to an end, the forum said. Those wishing to be part of the new initiative can register through the following website: https://register.wyfegypt.com
