PORT SAID, Egypt – MV logos Hope, which is a one-of-its kind ship which sails around the world as a floating library and bookstore, will dock at Port Said Port on January 4, announced the media bureau of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

After a 12-year hiatus, the ship plans to settle at the port for 20 days, and then will head to Aqaba Port in Jordan on January 23, it added.

The SCZONE is finalizing all the necessary preparations for holding such a mega cultural event.

Security presence will be intensified to facilitate the movement of 350 passengers, who will pay a brief visit to Egypt to enjoy the country’s tourist attractions.

The ship, measuring 132 meter-long, contains over 50,000, will open to the public daily except Sunday. Children who are less than 13 years and the differently abled people can visit the ship for free from 10:00 AM and until 10:00 PM.

The ship is operated by about 400 unpaid volunteers from more than 60 different nationalities, where the staff strive to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world.
