The Wife of Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović, Mirela Bećirović, lauded the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to empower and protect women from all kinds of violence.
She also lauded 57357 hospital which treats cancer in children for free.
This came during Bećirović’s visit to the National Council for Women (NCW) where she was received by its Head Maya Morsi to stand on the Egyptian efforts exerted in the field of empowering women and integrating her in the different domains in addition to discussing means of boosting cooperation between both countries.
Bećirović expressed her interest in benefiting from the experience and expertise of the NCW in empowering and protecting women.
Meanwhile, Morsi reviewed Egypt’s efforts exerted in the field of empower women and protecting them from all kinds of violence.
She pointed out to the economic authorization study of violence against women prepared by Egypt, adding that the state approved several laws and legislation to protect the Egyptian women and empower them in the different domains.
She pointed out to the role of the office of women complaints in presenting legal and psychological support to the battered women.
Morsi shed light on the role of the NCW in raising awareness on women in the different issues of women via “Knock on Doors” campaigns launched by the council in the different governorates.
She asserted the importance of the role of drama in raising the awareness of the society and shedding light on the issues of women.
