CAIRO – US’s First Lady Jill Biden will embark on a two-day visit to Egypt on Friday, according to a press statement released by the US Embassy in Cairo.
Egypt will be the second leg of Mrs Biden’s tour of the Middle East which runs for a week and includes four countries. She started her tour with a visit to Jordan, said the statement.
During her tour of the Middle East and North Africa, Mrs Biden will continue on working on empowering youth and reaffirming the US’s commitment to enhance its partnerships and promote the joint priorities in the region.
During her stay in Egypt, according to MENA, Mrs Biden will meet with women and youths and shed light on the US investments in Egypt which aims at supporting education initiatives and bolstering the economic opportunities, added the Embassy statement.
