The Egyptian delegation currently in New York briefed experts of the United Nations Security Council’s (UNSC) member states on the Egyptian stance as regards the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) issue as well as the negative impacts of not reaching a binding agreement on the dispute.
This came as part of the intensified activities made by the Egyptian delegation in New York to present all dimensions of the Egyptian position towards the GERD issue, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said on his Twitter account Wednesday.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri is scheduled to take part in the UNSC special meeting on the GERD today.
