An Egyptian TV host is now being investigated for his ‘hateful’ remarks about Egyptian football clubs in a show at state-owned television.
In his morning show, TV host Hossam Hadad said that Egyptian giants Al-Ahly do not represent Egypt and fans of the rival club Al-Zamalek should not necessarily support the team in its matches in the Club World Cup.
In a statement, Egypt’s National Press Authority said that it deals with complete impartiality when it comes to all Egyptian sports clubs.
It added that all Egyptian clubs have all appreciation and respect, wishing them success in making achievements that can be added to the history of Egyptian sports.
