Turkish nationals who are resident in Egypt and are eligible to vote can cast their ballot at the premises of Türkiye’s Embassy in Cairo between 5 May and 7 May from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., an embassy statement said.
The candidates for Türkiye’s presidential and parliamentary elections, which will take place on May 14 are the incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the People’s Alliance (Justice and Development Party with the Nationalist Movement Party), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, leader of the Republican People’s Party, centrist Homeland Party leader Muharrem Ince and right-wing Ancestral Alliance candidate Sinan Ogan.
Türkiye holds elections every five years.
