Head of the Central Administration for Hotel Establishments, Shops, and Tourist Activities Mohamed Amer dismissed news reports which claimed that a floating hotel in Luxor tilted to one side and capsized.
In a statement Tuesday, Amer said that the hotel has completely stopped working since 2010, and its tourism license has not been renewed since that time until now.
