In preparation for the 2026/2027 academic year, the Tahya Misr Fund launched on Wednesday the fourth phase of the presidential initiative to provide school supplies for underprivileged students, starting from Cairo. The initiative was inaugurated in the presence of Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Fund CEO Tamer Abdel Fattah, and senior officials from the fund and the governorate.
This phase targets students in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia and Sharqia, delivering comprehensive school bags with stationery, clothing and shoes to ease the financial burden on families. Abdel Fattah explained that the initiative builds on previous phases, ensuring support reaches those most in need through updated 2026 social research databases.
The fund’s plan began in Alexandria and expanded across Upper Egypt and other governorates, with the fourth phase now covering the capital and surrounding areas. The initiative reflects the fund’s commitment to strengthening social protection and supporting families at the start of the school year, in co‑ordination with governorates, civil society and relevant institutions.
