Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sweilam asserted the ministry’s keenness on expanding the use of eco-friendly materials in all projects being implemented.
He made the remarks on Thursday during a meeting with the ministry’s leaderships to review the ministry’s plan for safe disposal of residue of canals cleansing operations.
He said several methods were tested by the Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) in order to improve the residue components to be reused in canals’ rehabilitation.
He noted that these methods will be examined and assessed to reach the best outcome.
