The State is keen on granting the private sector the appropriate opportunities for growth and expansion, affirmed Egypt’s Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala elSaeed.

The upcoming sector will witness granting the private sector more opportunities for growth, expansion and partnership in the various sectors, added the minister during her meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GV Investment Group Egypt Sherif Hammouda and in the presence of CEO of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) Ayman Suliman, CEO of Tarboul City Magdi Ghazi, Project Senior Advisor for the Tarboul Industrial City Mahmoud el Garf and Board member of GV Group Hani Ghoneim.

During the meeting, the minister was briefed on the detailed explanation of the Tarboul Industrial City, which is built on a total area of 109 million square meters. The minister was also briefed on the phases of connecting the utilities to the city, which will depend on clean energy.

There are great aspects of co-operation between the Tarboul City and the TSFE in order to lure more direct investments to the industrial sector in co-operation with the local and international partners, said the minister.

The Traboul City is considered a role model for co-operation between the State and the private sector in order to create a climate conducive to enhance the private sector, said Board of Directors of the GV Investment Group Egypt Sherif Hammouda.

The city managed to lure a host of global companies operating in the clean energy sector, the green hydrogen and the electric cars, he added.

The city also plays a crucial role in developing Upper Egypt governorates, he said, noting that the city will provide thousands of jobs for residents in Upper Egypt.
