The Ambassador of Spain in Cairo, Ramon Gil Casares, presented a collection of 150 books to the General Supervisor of the New Capital Library, Dr Zain Abdel Hadi.
The Spanish ambassador was accompanied with Ambassador Omar Selim, Egypt’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cultural Relations, and a number of officials, led by Major General Mohamed el-Saadani, Director of the City of Arts and Culture in the New Administrative Capital.
The books include a wide range of masterpieces of Spanish literature, in addition to linguistics, economics, social sciences, history, arts, diplomacy, and other various fields of knowledge.
Spain presented this collection of works under the auspices of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Spanish Agency for International Co-operation for Development (AECID), believing in the role of books as a basic medium of knowledge.
