CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy on Thursday discussed with officials of the Arab League (AL) and a number of the ministry’s leaders Egypt’s preparations for playing host to meetings of the Arab Sports and Youth Ministers Council, slated for May 21-26.
Sobhy is the head of the executive office of the council.
The meetings offer an opportunity for probing the most important joint Arab activities and projects, to be carried out this year and budgets, in addition to proposals floated by Arab countries concerning new youth and sports programmes.
Sobhy asserted he is reviewing around-the-clock all arrangements for the meetings as well as technical and logistics issues .
