President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed his endeavor for Egypt to be at the forefront of nations.

The ancient Egyptian nation is the one that initiated history, created civilization, and was a symbol of power, Sisi said in a speech to the Egyptian family Iftar banquet.

He added that the Egyptian nation has paid the price in blood and made precious sacrifices, emphasizing not to heed those who seek to distort facts.

Sisi expressed his pleasure to attend the ceremony with spirit and kindness, “which brings all the Egyptians together in their beloved homeland Egypt.

“I will seize the opportunity to renewed the promise at the beginning of a new presidential term, after you have renewed your confidence and commitment in an election process witnessed by the world for its integrity and honorable appearance,” he added.

The Egyptians united with no distinction to achieve clear victory in the battles of survival and construction, Sisi said.

He described the Egyptian people as the heroes and teachers who faced hardships and challenges.

He hailed the Egyptian women who sacrificed their beloved family members as martyrs, so that Egypt could enjoy security.

Sisi also paid tribute to the Armed Forces and security personnel, who dedicated themselves to Egypt’s security and safety.

He also described all of Egypt’s scholars, teachers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, and media professionals as heroes of this unique period in the nation’s history.

“I pledge to continue striving for the dignity and glory of Egypt, providing a decent life for its people, and safeguarding its national security, independence, leadership, and international role,” Sisi said.

He emphasized the continuation of implementing economic reform measures, focusing on industrial localization, expanding agricultural land, increasing foreign direct investment, supporting the private sector, and providing necessary social protection measures for the most vulnerable groups.

Sisi also pledged to support the state of openness and political reform, which began with his call for the National Dialogue in April 2022.

Participants chanted slogans showing support for President Sisi.

The national anthem was played, then President Sisi left the ceremony hall.

Sisi added that he received today from General Coordinator of the National Dialogue Diaa Rashwan 90 recommendations and proposals as the outcome of the National Dialogue that was launched on April, 2022.

He urged to raise the awareness of citizens on the current developments in the region and the whole world in order to support the state to be capable of confronting any challenges or threats.

The president also noted that a lot of things are clear now after the October 7, 2023, incidents, stressing the importance of continuing dialogue and tackling issues that impact the lives of the Egyptian people especially economic ones.

Sisi said he has been accustomed to honesty and transparency with the Egyptian people throughout his presidency, an approach he pledged to continue during his new presidential term, especially since the Egyptian citizen is aware and capable of understanding matters.

“There is no need to hide facts that concern the Egyptian people,” he added.

Sisi emphasized the necessity of engaging all sectors of the society in the National Dialogue to reach consensus on many of the crises facing the country.

He highlighted the significant role played by Egyptian women when Egypt was plagued by terrorism, as women supported the state and sacrificed their sons and husbands to preserve the national security.

The President reiterated that without the support of the people, Egypt would not have overcome its challenges.

“There is no strong leader without a confident people. If the people abandon their leader, there is no need for him to remain in office,” he added.

Sisi directed the government and the state institutions to support the outcome of the National Dialogue.

He also underscored the importance of supporting youths and empowering women at all political, economic and societal levels.

He pointed out that the case of building the Egyptian human comes on top of the priorities of the national action especially through providing the decent life required.

The president noted that the state and people shoulder the responsibility of building and crafting the Egyptian identity in the upcoming years, pointing out to the importance and keenness of the state to provide good education and inclusive health care.

Sisi noted that the Egyptian state will continue to adopt the “strategic balance” policy concerning international and regional issues. The policy puts into its consideration the Egyptian national security, efforts to reach an overall peace and respecting the peoples’ will.
