CAIRO – Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government on Tuesday to continue to work on strengthening strategic domestic industries and backing the national industrial sectors, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
President Sisi’s instructions came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and Trade and Industry Minister Nevin Gamea.
Sisi instructed the government to rapidly finish the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) system in light of the State’s strategy to support industrial activities and overcome obstacles impeding their progress as well as increase export rates.
The meeting reviewed suggested solutions to overcome hurdles that the industrial sector faces and tackled formulating consensual programs between the Ministries of Finance and Trade and Industry to facilitate export and import procedures in the coming period.
