Cairo- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Friday inspected a number of development and construction projects in eastern Cairo.
The president’s tour took him to the Adly Mansour Station, the largest in the Middle East and Africa, connecting several metro, electric train and railway lines and bus stations.
The Adly Mansour station has rolling stock maintenance facilities on 65 feddans (acres).
President Sisi also made a tour of the Adly Mansour Road Axis, Presidency Spokesman, Ambassador
Bassam Radi said.
The road axis consists of two 8-lane carriageways plus flyovers for vehicles and pedestrians.
The presidency spokesman said this new road axis would be the new traffic artery that integrates with the
national road network: the Ismailia Desert Road and the Belbeis Road, along with roads in eastern, western and northern Cairo.
During his tour, the president chatted with officials and engineers supervising the construction on different sites.
He called for strict abidance by the schedules of the different projects as well as their quality and engineering standards.

President Sisi also spoke with members of the public who happened to be present during his tour, listening to their views and enquiring about their living conditions, Ambassador Radi said.
He congratulated them on the occasion of the Islamic month of Ramadan.
