CAIRO – The German Embassy in Egypt announced on Thursday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will visit Germany on Sunday.
In a press release, the embassy said that Sisi’s two-day visit will witness talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, a number of senior German officials as well as attending the international conference Petersberg Climate Dialogue.
“We are very happy with President Sisi’s visit to Berlin because this visit reiterates the deep-rooted relations between Germany and Egypt as well as the joint keenness to enhance cooperation in the field of climate protection and stability in the Middle East,” German Ambassador to Egypt Frank Hartmann said.
He also said that the visit will witness discussing a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
He added that Sisi’s visit to Germany coincides with celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Egypt and Germany.
