He also highlighted Tatarstan’s notable development, particularly in the industrial, technological, and agricultural sectors, reaffirming Egypt’s keenness to strengthen economic ties with both Russia and Tatarstan.

For his part, Minnikhanov underscored Tatarstan’s strong interest in enhancing relations with Egypt across all sectors, noting the significant progress achieved since his last visit to Cairo in 2018, as well as President Sisi’s landmark visit to Kazan in 2024 to participate in the BRICS Summit.

Minnikhanov also commended Egypt’s pivotal and tangible role in the Middle East and Africa, particularly in maintaining regional security, and praised President Sisi’s considerable efforts in this regard.

The Presidency spokesman said that the talks covered several key issues related to bilateral relations between Egypt, Russia, and Tatarstan, including the Russian Industrial Zone project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

President Sisi invited industrial developers and investors from Tatarstan to participate in this important project.

Both sides also stressed the need to enhance cooperation in culture, education, tourism, agriculture, and industry, among other areas of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minnikhanov invited President Sisi to visit Kazan in any future trip to Russia. President Sisi welcomed the invitation.
