CAIRO- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi highlighted the deep-rooted relations between Egypt and Greece, stressing keenness on furthering them in various domains, especially under the trilateral cooperation framework which also groups Cyprus.
He made the remarks during a phone call with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said the president offered congratulations for the landslide victory of the ruling party in the recent parliamentary election.
For his part, the Greek premier thanked Sisi, underscoring the strength of bilateral ties.
He accentuated keenness to cement bilateral cooperation in various domains and hold continued consultations vis-a-vis issues of mutual concern, especially with regard to the developments in the East Mediterranean region as well as the current international economic, food and energy crises.
