CAIRO- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives Saturday to continue coordination between the relevant bodies to render the project of Damietta Furniture City (DFC) successful, so it can serve as an integrated industrial city.
This came during a meeting held by President Sisi on Saturday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir, Damietta Governor Manal Awad along with a host of senior officials.
The meeting was held to follow up on President Sisi’s directives to continue holding societal dialogue with Damietta residents, who work in furniture manufacturing, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
During the meeting, President Sisi was briefed on the various phases of implementing and enhancing the DFC in order to meet the needs of the domestic market and to open the door for competing at the regional and international levels, added the spokesman.
