Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Sunday visiting Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio at the Ittihadiya Presidential Palace.
Fumio is currently on a three-visit to Egypt, the first leg of his four-nation Africa tour, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said.
This is Kishida’s first trip to the region since he took office in October 2021.
Talks will tackle ways of boosting bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international peace and security, the spokesman said.
