Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday posed for a photo op with workers of a potato production factory in East Owainat area of New Valley governorate in the southwestern part of Egypt.
Following the photo op, Sisi made a tour of the factory and was accompanied by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and a galaxy of senior state officials.
East Owainat project is the second largest agriculture project for wheat production in Upper Egypt, with an area of more than 186,000 feddans.
East Owainat area lies in southwest of Egypt, some 365 kilometer south of the Dakhla Oasis in New Valley governorate. It spans to 528,000 feddans and is divided into plots of land for producing nearly 3 million tons of different crops annually.
