Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued directives to provide a supportive environment for the sector of national heavy industries, topped by aluminum, which plays a vital role in the development process.
The president gave the instructions at a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
During the meeting, the president was briefed on efforts exerted to raise the efficiency of Egyptalum Company in partnership with foreign experts with the aim of increasing its production of aluminum.
The meeting also probed the company’s financial position and current production rates.
The president also issued directives to widen the use of new and renewable energy sources at the company, particularly solar energy.
