CAIRO- President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Saturday a phone call from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Saturday regarding the escalating situation in the Gaza Strip.
The two leaders stressed the importance of launching a comprehensive political process to achieve a just settlement of the Palestinian cause, based on the two-state solution.
During the conversation, President Sisi shared Egypt’s view on the necessity of an immediate ceasefire, expanding the delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza, and Egypt’s efforts to evacuate foreign nationals and receive injured Palestinians.
The two sides agreed on the importance of finding urgent solutions to the ongoing crisis and taking action to ensure access to humanitarian aid.
