Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi underlined the importance of the role played by Egyptian press institutions in promoting awareness of current and future generations in the new republic on the boom achieved by the State in all domains.
In an article the President wrote in Al Ahram newspaper on its front page Sunday on the occasion of the publication of its 50,0000th issue, he expressed his full appreciation for all journalists and staffers of Al Ahram foundation on this unique occasion, saying the prestigious edifice has been always at the heart of events for nearly 148 years since its foundation on December 27, 1875 until now.
In a professional and accurate way, Al Aharm newspaper succeeded in recording all local, regional and international events and mirroring all details of Egyptian life, the President said.
He hoped this great newspaper would continue playing its leading role within the framework of the new republic… the republic of dream and hope… the republic of science and work… the republic that is capable of fighting all frustration and despair and spreading hope, goodness, reconstruction and prosperity everywhere on the Egyptian map.
He said the publication of the 50,000th issue came amid difficult and critical challenges and circumstances the Palestinian issue is going through, adding that the Palestinian issue is Arabs’ number one issue.
