President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Thursday morning the areas affected by the floods in the Upper Egyptian city of Aswan.
During the tour, the President followed up the procedures and services provided for citizens in those areas, especially by medical convoys and family medicine units as part of the activities and efforts of the Dignified Life Initiative.
Torrential rains and strong winds have hit several cities in Upper Egypt this month, with estimated 2,000 families affected in Aswan in addition to 106 rural houses collapsed and many crops were damaged.
The Decent Life Foundation reiterated full solidarity with residents of Aswan who were harmed by the bad weather wave.
In a statement, the foundation said teams were immediately sent to stand on residents’ needs and they began restoring damaged homes in co-operation with bodies concerned.
The foundation also launched a fundraising campaign to support Aswan residents who were harmed by floods.
