CAIRO- President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday inspected construction works of a number of roads and axes in the New Cairo area.
During his inspection tour, the president was briefed on the progress made in implementing the Talaat Harb Axis project to link the New Cairo area with the Central Ring Road, as well as the development of the car market’s complex and the surrounding area.
The president stated that nearly 15,000 feddans are being reclaimed to establish urban and industrial projects in the New Cairo.
The president was updated on the progress made in a project aimed at connecting the Gamal Abdel Nasser axis with the Sadat axis to create a major traffic artery inside the New Cairo.
President Sisi gave instructions for establishing a walkway for bicycles and pedestrians and allocating parking spaces beneath this main traffic artery.
The president was also posted on the development works of a network of roads in New Cairo to facilitate road traffic between the Northern 90 Road and the Southern 90 Road via the Gamal Abdel Nasser-Sadat artery.
