Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi made a phone call on Sunday evening with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and congratulated him on assuming his new post as well as on the occasion of the Hebrew New Year.
During the call, the president discussed some issues of bilateral relations as well as issues and files of common interest in light of the dangers surrounding the region and efforts to revive peace talks.
For his part, President Herzog expressed gratitude for the congratulations of President Sisi and highlighted his appreciation for Egypt’s active role in achieving peace and stability in the region under the leadership of President Sisi.
