Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed that all facilities in Egypt International Olympic Games City located in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) be completed in accordance with international standards and specifications, making it a sports edifice with integrated services.

He noted that this city will enhance Egypt’s rank in sports activities as it possesses the capabilities and infrastructure necessary to host major world championships in various games.

President Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the president for Urban Planning, Ihab el-Far, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and Ashraf el-Araby, chairman of the consultative office of the Engineering Authority, alongside a number of senior state officials.

President Sisi was also briefed on executive position of the NAC’s Egypt International Olympic City, especially the grand mural in the city, which will reflect the logo, Olympic principles and Egypt’s sports history according to a high-level artistic perspective, Ambassador Radi said.

The city includes a stadium with a capacity of 90,000 fans, and two indoor halls. One has a capacity of 15,000 fans while the other has a capacity of 8,000.

The president was also briefed on the executive position of the road and axes projects across the country, including the development of the coastal road from Wadi el-Natrun to el-Alamein airport as well as the upgrade of the Cairo-Ismailia agricultural road.
