President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the Presidential Palace in New Alamein City on Thursday for talks on strengthening bilateral relations and reviewing regional developments.
The discussions, attended by senior officials from both countries, focused on expanding cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade and investment sectors, while enhancing political coordination to support regional peace and stability.
Both leaders stressed the importance of advancing bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of their peoples and supports shared development goals.
The talks also addressed regional developments.
On the Palestinian issue, the two leaders stressed the need for all parties to implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement, ensure the unfettered delivery of humanitarian aid, and support early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
They also reiterated support for a comprehensive and just settlement based on the two-state solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
President El Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Bahrain and its measures to safeguard its security and stability, condemning Iranian attacks targeting Bahraini territory and stressing that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
King Hamad thanked Egypt for its continued support and called for close coordination to address regional challenges, prevent escalation and promote stability across the Middle East.
He praised the progress achieved in Bahraini-Egyptian relations and expressed his country’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation, reflecting the deep ties between the two nations.
King Hamad also reaffirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Egypt and support for measures aimed at preserving its security and stability.
