President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted the King of Denmark on the occasion of Denmark’s assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union Thursday.
President Sisi said on his official page on “Facebook” that “I extend my sincere congratulations to the King of Denmark, the Prime Minister of Denmark, and the Government and people of the friendly Kingdom of Denmark on the occasion of Denmark’s assumption today of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.”
He added “We are fully confident that Denmark will undertake this responsibility in a spirit of cooperation and accountability. We therefore look forward to its Presidency contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, justice, and growth across the European continent and the world at large.”
“We also reaffirm our aspiration to coordinate and cooperate with Denmark during its Presidency to advance the interests of the African continent and developing countries, and to strengthen the European response to the issues of our region in the Middle East, in a manner that fosters equitable and inclusive partnerships,” added president Sisi.
